Some very interest Premier League odds for the 2024/25 season where Newcastle United are concerned.
After these past two seasons, the bookies clearly see potential opportunity for the NUFC owners.
If they and Eddie Howe get things right…
Yesterday, we saw Southampton beat Leeds in the Championship play-off final.
So now we know all twenty Premier League clubs that will be competing in the 2024/25 top tier.
Listed below are the general Premier League odds available from the various bookies for the 2022/23 season:
Win the Premier League:
10/11 Man City
5/2 Arsenal
8/1 Liverpool
20/1 Chelsea
25/1 Newcastle United, Man U
33/1 Tottenham
50/1 Aston Villa
150/1 Brighton
So Newcastle United rated joint fifth most likely…
Premier League relegation:
1/2 Leicester
10/11 Ipswich, Everton
7/4 Southampton, Forest
4/1 Wolves
9/2 Brentford
5.1 Fulham
7/1 Bournemouth
9/1 Palace
16/1 West Ham
20/1 Brighton, Chelsea
28/1 Man City
100/1 Villa
150/1 Man U, Newcastle United
250/1 Tottenham
2000/1 Arsenal, Liverpool
Eddie Howe’s team seen as joint fourth least likely to go down in the 2024/25 season.
I kept thinking the Man City 28/1 odds were a mistake, then I cottoned on that of course this is due to the possibility (probability?) of severe punishment from the 115 Premier League charges they face.
Finish top four:
1/10 Man City
1/4 Arsenal
8/15 Liverpool,
11/8 Chelsea
7/4 Newcastle United
2/1 Man Utd
2/1 Tottenham
3/1 Villa
12/1 Brighton
14/1 West Ham
This is where, like me, I guess you will be giving most focus.
With fair luck, can Newcastle United bounce back into the Premier League top four and get Champions League football?
Well the bookies have NUFC as real contenders, fifth most likely.
