Alexander Isak has picked up an injury ahead of Saturday’s Premier League game against Fulham.
The 24-year-old striker, according to the Daily Mail, is a ‘doubt’ for the weekend after suffering a toe injury.
Scoring one and assisting another in the Magpies’ first four games, Isak’s potential absence will serve as a major blow to Eddie Howe, who may be forced to call upon Anthony Gordon with Callum Wilson also out.
Alexander Isak injury doubt for Fulham clash; Anthony Gordon to start up front
Unbeaten so far this season, Newcastle would have been fancying their chances against Marco Silva’s Cottagers, who have managed just one win from four games, Isak’s exclusion will narrow the odds though.

While fans won’t begrudge the 23-year-old playing in an unusual position, having the former Everton man out on the left-flank is undoubtedly the Toon’s preference.

Manchester City are next up in the Premier League after Fulham, so should Isak miss out this weekend, the Magpies will do everything possible to get him back in time to face the defending champions.
