A Newcastle United away ticket transfer is to be introduced.

The club revealing the news on Wednesday afternoon.

They state that this is ‘for supporters unable to make an away fixture in case of an emergency.’

Fans will be able to do a Newcastle United away ticket transfer, a maximum of two fixtures per season.

The away ticket transfer will go live 72 hours before kick-off once the ticket refund option has ended.

Newcastle United are to introduce away ticket transfer for supporters unable to make an away fixture in case of an emergency. This option will be available for a maximum of two fixtures per season.

The away ticket transfer will go live 72 hours before kick-off once the ticket refund option has ended.

Supporters will be able to login to their account and forward their ticket through to any supporters on their family and friend’s network. Instructions on how to do this can be found below.

Once you have forwarded the ticket to the other supporter and therefore allocated the ticket to them, you are responsible for giving them the physical ticket or forwarding on the digital link (providing you have not already downloaded the ticket). If you are unable to forward the ticket on to the new owner of the ticket or have already downloaded the ticket to your phone, you must contact the box office to arrange a duplicate ticket. Please note that screenshots will not be accepted.

Tickets can only be transferred twice per season, in case of emergency.

What happens to the loyalty point when using Newcastle United Away Ticket Transfer?

A loyalty point is not allocated for this ticket if the original purchaser transfers the ticket to an eligible friend or family member. The person receiving the ticket does not receive a loyalty point. This option is available as a last minute resort for another supporter to use a ticket that would otherwise go unused.

How do I transfer my ticket?

Please be mindful that you cannot email the club to communicate any ticket transfer requests. Who can I transfer my ticket to?

Can I use Newcastle United Away Ticket Transfer if I have received my physical ticket?

Please note that any supporter who has received their physical ticket and chooses to use the Away Ticket Transfer service is responsible for distributing the physical ticket to the supporter who will be attending the relevant match. If this ticket is lost, it is the original purchaser’s responsibility to contact the Club to request a duplicate ticket. The ticket transfer process must still be completed.

What happens if I have a digital ticket?

If you have already downloaded your digital ticket we will need to request a new link from the opposition club to share with you or if the home club is not able to provide a new link then you will need to collect a duplicate physical ticket from the home club. ID will be required to collect the ticket.

What is the deadline for Newcastle United Away Ticket Transfer?

Ticket transfer opens once the refund policy period has passed, 72 hours before the game. It closes 5 hours before kick off. All deadlines are subject to change and subject to support from opposition ticket offices.

Can I use ticket transfer in cases of Force Majeure (e.g. train cancellations)?

Ticket transfer is in place to support individual emergency cases. In the event of large scale disruption neither the home or away ticket offices could facilitate duplication and reallocation of tickets in such high volumes.

Will Away Ticket Transfer be available for all fixtures?

Please be mindful that the Away Ticket Transfer process may not be operational for certain fixtures, especially those with a tight turnaround between confirmation of game and fixture date.

Will there still be Away Ticket Spot Checks?

Alongside this additional flexibility for away ticket holders and as part of our ongoing commitment to ensure highly sought after away tickets are used by genuine Newcastle United supporters, there will continue to be a number of random spot checks at away games.

Can Disabled Supporters use this service?

Yes, however the recipient must meet the same club criteria for disabled/accessible seating as the original purchaser and must be registered as disabled with Newcastle United.

Can I change my ticket category?

You can upgrade a ticket when you forward a ticket on. There will be a charge when forwarding on a ticket if the new ticket category is more expensive that the ticket you originally purchased. If the ticket you currently have is marked as a concession ticket you will need to inform the Newcastle United box office to request a duplicate ticket at the home clubs ticket office with the correct price category on it. If you’re downgrading the price of the ticket there will be no refund offered.

When will I be notified that my Ticket Transfer is completed?

You will receive email confirmation that your ticket has been forwarded and is now under another supporter’s name. Please remember you must pass the actual ticket onto the supporter who is attending.
