The clock is now furiously ticking down for the Newcastle United first team squad.
Starting their pre-season preparations last week, it is now just over four weeks until the Premier League season kicks off.
Fulham v Man U in 32 days time is the very first Premier League game on the Friday night, then a day later at 3pm, Newcastle v Southampton on Saturday 17 August.
Only 12 days until the Newcastle United first team squad play their first friendly, Hull away on Saturday 27 July.
Whilst it is only 26 days until NUFC’s final pre-season friendly, Stade Brestois at St James’ Park on Saturday 10 August.
However, today things really getting moving, as Newcastle United will shortly land in Germany (Monday 15 July), quite perfect coincidence as England fly back in the other direction to the UK (a penny for the thoughts of Anthony Gordon and Kieran Trippier after last night’s latest tedious and predictable negative exit, as soon as Southgate faced a quality team at the finals they were eliminated, as usual under this manager).
Arriving at the Adidas headquarters to spend this week taking advantage of the world-class training facilities in Herzogenaurach, Germany. This visit facilitated by the fact that Adidas are now once again United’s kit partners.
The Newcastle United first team squad will then travel back to the UK next Saturday.
Interesting to see which players are on this trip to Germany and whether any surprises, in terms of those who have been on international duty this summer, being on the plane.
