Newcastle United have featured in the Carabao Cup third round draw.

The third round draw made after the second round matches had been completed on Wednesday night.

An eventful night as Newcastle United went in front after 18 seconds against Nottingham Forest.

Only for goalscorer Joe Willock to be forced off on 15 minutes through injury, here’s hoping not serious.

Forest equalising on 50 minutes and at that point on top.

Only for Newcastle to finish the stronger but unable to get the winner.

No extra-time and straight to penalties.

Joelinton missing our second one and United 3-1 down at one point, only for Forest to miss their final two and NUFC score all of their last three. Through on penalties!

To the Carabao Cup third round draw (eventually) after our game concluded.

United avoiding the seeded, sorry… Champions League and Europa League teams that had been banned from facing each other in this round.

Newcastle United drawing AFC Wimbledon away from home!

Third round ties will be played and split over two midweeks – Weeks commencing Monday 16 September AND Monday 23 September.
