An official update from the Newcastle United training ground.

This coming ahead of Saturday’s match with Brighton.

The club have released a new Newcastle United training gallery of photos.

Eddie Howe though keeping his cards very close to his chest.

The images released, showing Newcastle United players training ahead of Saturday’s match.

A bit of insight, potentially, into who may and may not be available for this game…

The photos published by Newcastle United featuring Wednesday’s training and only the following first team squad players could be seen:

Harvey Barnes, Joelinton, Sean Longstaff, Jacob Murphy, Lewis Miley, John Ruddy, Odysseas Vlachodimos, Anthony Gordon, Tino Livramento, Lloyd Kelly, Joe Willock, Martin Dubravka

The official Newcastle United training gallery published with this text:

‘Aside from Bruno Guimaraes and Miguel Almirón, who featured for Brazil and Paraguay respectively in the early hours of Wednesday morning, most of head coach Howe’s charges – including young midfielder Lewis Miley, who is continuing his rehabilitation from injury – were back on Tyneside and out on the training pitch in midweek. Serena Taylor was there too to bring newcastleunited.com this gallery from United’s Benton training centre.’

As I said, Eddie Howe keeping his cards, as always, very close to his chest.

The interesting thing of course about the training photos, is who can’t be seen in them.

In particular, whether one or both of Alexander Isak and Callum Wilson will be back available for Saturday against Brighton.

Even if they are fit and training fully throughout this international break, no way that Eddie Howe would let on.

Here’s hoping.
