Newport County vs Manchester United: Team news 

Newport captain Ryan Delaney is a boyhood United fan and he will lead his team out against the club he supports. 

Kyle Jameson, Offrande Zanzala and Declan Drysdale are all doubts for the game while Liverpool loanee Adam Lewis is expected to play.

As for the Red Devils, Luke Shaw, Harry Maguire and Lisandro Martinez all took part in a behind-closed-doors friendly ahead of the game. 

They are building their fitness after recovering from injury and may feature alongside Casemiro who was an unsused substitute last time out. 

Anthony Martial has been ruled our for 10 weeks while Victor Lindelof, Mason Mount and Tyrell Malaca remain on the sidelines. 

Altay Bayindir could make his first United appearance with Andre Onana away at AFCON.

The Exiles have won just one of their last 23 meetings with top-flight opponents in all competitions (D7 L15), beating Leicester City 2-1 in the FA Cup in 2018-19. Newport County have progressed from just two of their eight FA Cup fourth round ties, doing so in their first (vs Huddersfield in 1948-49) and most recent such fixtures (vs Middlesbrough in 2018-19). This will be Manchester United’s first FA Cup game in Wales since the 2005 final against Arsenal, when the Red Devils lost 5-4 on penalties following a 0-0 draw. Their only previous away game against Welsh opposition in the competition was a 5-0 win at Wrexham in January 1957.

Newport manager Graham Coughlan is also a United fan and he has been speaking about how it feels for his side to be playing them. 

Coughlan said: "It'll be a hell of an occasion. It's a fourth round tie against Manchester United, for me the biggest club in this country, in Europe and in the world.

"I know some people would lean towards the fifth round game against Manchester City, but I'd say Manchester United all day long."

He continued: "We're a big Manchester United family, we've been to FA Cup finals with them.

"Just to have Manchester United coming to Rodney Parade is a hell of an achievement.

"I don't know when it will sink in, I'm sure my family are doing Irish jigs around the house at the moment."
