NewsNation is moving Leland Vittert‘s nighttime show to the key 9 p.m. ET slot, following Dan Abrams decision to end his show.
In other changes, Elizabeth Vargas Reports will move to the 7 p.m. ET slot, while Vargas has signed a new multi-year agreement with the network. Vittert has previously been in that time slot.
The new lineup will start on Feb. 10.
Vittert joined NewsNation in May 2021, and his show debuted later that year.
Vargas, who launched her show in 2023, has also co-hosted town halls and events, including the final Republican debate last cycle.
Vargas, Chris Cuomo and Vittert co-anchored the network’s election night coverage. NewsNation was the first network to project that Donald Trump would return to the White House.
The network also announced that NewsNation Now with Connell McShane will be extended an hour, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. ET. Vargas had been in the 5 p.m. ET slot.
The Hill will remain in the 6 p.m. time period.
