Neymar’s agent has shut down rumors that the Brazilian could terminate his contract with Al-Hilal and return to Santos.

Rumors emerged on Sunday that Santos had agreed a sensational deal with Neymar to return to his hometown club after more than 10 years away. Neymar has been plagued by injuries since his move to Saudi side Al-Hilal, leading to speculation that his stay at the club could be cut short. However, Neymar’s agent Zahavi has claimed that the recent rumors are nothing more than that.

In response to the rumors, Zahavi told Fabrizio Romano: “

There are no ongoing discussions for Neymar to leave Al-Hilal. He is under contract and very happy there. Neymar’s father and I are the only people who can talk about Ney’s future. I don’t know where the recent rumors come from.”

Neymar, the end of rumors

However, Cesar Luis Merlo, who initially hinted that Neymar and Santos could have a deal, has hit back, saying time will prove his statement to be true. He posted on X (formerly Twitter): “ Neymar’s agent publicly denies what Santos said. I stand by every word I have posted. Thank God people in Brazil know how I work. As has happened many times, time will put things back where they belong. »

Although this drama is not yet over, Neymar remains unavailable to play for Al-Hilal due to a hamstring injury, and will have to watch from the sidelines for his team’s match against Al-Khaleej on Saturday.
