The landscape shifted overnight in New Japan Pro-Wrestling as Nic Nemeth captured his first IWGP Championship.
Nemeth’s first match in New Japan Pro-Wrestling proved very successful as he defeated Bullet Club leader David Finlay in the main event to become the new IWGP Global Heavyweight Champion.
The finish saw Nic Nemeth hit David Finlay with a superkick, followed by the Danger Zone to capture the championship. You can check out a clip of the finish by clicking here.
Following the match, Nemeth declared he wanted to be a fighting champion and would defend the title against anyone, anywhere, all over the world.
With the recent report of AEW Forbidden Door taking place this June in Arthur Ashe Stadium, one would think Nemeth will be representing New Japan at this event.
