There’s a Bridgerton fan theory that began circulating after Nicola Coughlan posted a series of photos to her Instagram account from the set of the hit Netflix series! In the background of one of the photos, Luke Newton, who portrays Colin, was sitting in a hair and makeup chair. Nicola snapped a photo of them together, but it was something on the mirror that caught the attention of some fans. Keep reading to find out more… There was a post-it note on the mirror that had the name “Sophie” written on it. Fans who have read the Bridgerton book series by Julia Quinn might recognize that name. Spoilers for the book series ahead! Benedict Bridgerton eventually marries a woman named Sophie Beckett in the books! When fans saw “Sophie” written on the post-it, they thought this might be a clue that a character named Sophie will show up in season three, paving the way for Luke Thompson‘s Benedict and his love story with Sophie to be the focus of season four! However, Nicola was very quick to shut down this fan rumor! A fan commented “SOPHIE?!?,” suggesting that the character may pop up in the second half of season three. Nicola replied to the comment, clarifying, “lolll no that’s @sophie.burton.33’s makeup station!!” Sophie Burton is indeed a makeup artist on the show.
