Nicolas Cage‘s ex girlfriend, Christina Fulton, is suing him and his son, Weston Cage, for an alleged assault that took place in April 2024. Christina, 57, who dated the 61-year-old actor from 1988 to 1991, and they share their son Weston, 34. She filed a lawsuit for “catastrophic physical, emotional and economic harm she has endured due to an unprovoked attack by their son, Weston,” per The Los Angeles Times. Weston allegedly attacked Christina in April 2024 when she went to visit him following “urgent messages from his friends regarding his deteriorating mental state.” She claims the supposed altercation caused her “a concussion, an eye injury, multiple bruises, neck and throat injuries, dental trauma, tinnitus, abdominal trauma and PTSD.” Weston was then arrested for two felony counts of assault with a deadly weapon in June, with the Los Angeles Police Department saying in a statement that he “punched two victims [including a person named Rohit Jagadish], multiple times, causing injury.” Weston has pleaded not guilty to the charges. Christina accused Nicolas of enabling Weston‘s behavior by supporting him financially and “turning a blind eye” to Weston‘s alleged violence, accusing Nicolas of bailing Weston out of jail repeatedly and allegedly drinking alcohol around him despite knowing about his supposed struggles with substance abuse. Nicolas‘ attorney, Brian Wolf, addressed this in a statement. “Weston Coppola is a 34 year old man. Mr. Cage does not control Weston’s behavior in any manner and is not responsible for Weston’s alleged assault of his mother,” he said. Currently, Nicolas is filming his Prime Video television series Spider-Noir.
