Nicole Kidman is opening up about her career aspirations. Back in 2017, the 57-year-old Oscar and Emmy winner vowed that she would work with a female director ever 18 months. In the last eight years, Nicole has worked with a female director 19 times, as either an actress or producer, and has more female-directed projects lined up. While appearing at the TIME Women Of The Year Leadership Forum on Tuesday (February 25), Nicole looked back at make the pledge and shared some of the forces that drive her to meet her goals. Keep reading to find out more…“It was something I wanted to do because the only way to change the numbers was to actually get in the trenches and do it,” Nicole shared about her promise. “And so I’m still in the trenches doing it.” As for the forces that drive her, Nicole said that she wants to give audiences an escape. “There’s many different facets to me, as there are to all of us,” Nicole shared. “I’m sort of trying to take a big bite out of the world and what I do, and share my opportunities with other people.” She then went on to say that she’s eager to make “an incredible, incredible love story,” adding that she wants to make a movie about marriage. “I have the desire to make a film about marriage, like a really, really raw, deep film about marriage and partnership, all of those things,” Nicole said.
