The Lagos State Branch of the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers has announced its 2024 Mandatory Continuing Professional Development Programme.
In a statement, the institution noted that the President/Chairman of the Council of NIESV, Alonge Adekunle, would serve as the chief host of the programme.
According to the institute, the training, which will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at 10:00 AM at the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry, 1, Idowu Taylor Street, Victoria Island, Lagos, has theme 1, titled: ‘Embracing Technology; The Future of Real Estate Services’, will be facilitated by a Partner at PWC, Mr Femi Madariola.
It added that this session would explore the transformative role of technology in modern real estate practices.
“Theme 2, Adapting to Market Disruptions; How to Navigate the Changing Real Estate Landscape and Chat GPT, will be facilitated by ESV Akin Opatola, ANIVS, Principal Partner at Olawale Jordan & Co. This discussion will focus on the impact of market changes and technological disruptions, including the role of AI in real estate.
“Theme 3, Use of Google Maps/GPS in Identifying, Locating Properties and the Use of Drones in Real Estate, will be facilitated by the Managing Partner at Gable Consults, Gabriel Adeyanju. This session will highlight the growing use of digital tools such as Google Maps, GPS, and drones in property identification and real estate management,” it stated.
NIESV said the MCPD Chairman, Adenrele Olowokure, would be leading the National MCPD Committee, while the host for the event would be the Chairman of the Lagos State Branch, NIESV, Gbenga Ismail.
