Nigeria and Ivory Coast face each other this Sunday (9 p.m.), in the final of the African Cup of Nations. A match to follow live with commentary on our site. Here is all the info.

Nigeria-Ivory Coast, pre-match

There is only one match left to play in this African Cup of Nations. And only one for Nigeria and Ivory Coast, finalists of the competition. With two very different paths since the Super Eagles justified their status as favorites for final success throughout the matches. For Ivory Coast, things were very different, including a completely failed group stage which almost caused their loss. But destiny had decided otherwise and the Elephants, at home, will face Nigeria this Sunday (9 p.m.).

The two nations met at the start of the competition and it was the Nigerians who won (1-0). Before that, we had to go back to 2016 to find traces of a confrontation. Here again, and on the same score, the Super Eagles had won in a friendly. For this CAN final, Nigeria’s Portuguese coach, José Peseiro, will line up a 3-4-3 with the inevitable Osimhen in front, associated with Lookman and Simon. Nwabali in front of the cage and captain Troost Ekong in central defense. On the Ivorian side, Emerse Faé will opt for a 4-3-3 with a Gradel-Haller-Adingra offensive line. Aurier and Konan on the wings in defense, while Kessié will hold his place in midfield.

The CAN grand final between Nigeria and Ivory Coast will kick off this Sunday at 9 p.m. French time. The meeting will be followed live on our site, and will be broadcast in France on W9 (unencrypted) and beIN Sports 1.
