Former Divas Champion Nikki Bella turned heads during her appearance at WWE RAW’s Netflix debut on January 6. The Hall of Famer was among the many legends in attendance, sparking speculation about a potential in-ring return. However, Nikki’s latest comments reveal the emotional journey behind her comeback to WWE.
Speaking on her podcast, Nikki opened up about the rocky relationship she and her sister Brie had with WWE after their 2023 departure. Reflecting on the past, Nikki acknowledged her own outbursts and emotional reactions that contributed to the tension but emphasized the healing that has since taken place.
“As everyone knows, the one thing about family, whether it’s a business family or your actual family, there is always at some point a rocky road. That’s life. It happens and emotions happen,” Nikki began, addressing the challenges she and her sister Brie faced after leaving WWE in 2023. “
She continued, “We had that rocky road with WWE. The one thing, as I’ve grown over the past few years and have continued to work on myself, I realized times where I’ve made outbursts out of emotions that I probably shouldn’t have done, and then there are times where I can recognize that I felt hurt and I wanted to be heard, but it probably wasn’t the right thing to do.”
Reflecting on her return to the company, Nikki described the experience as healing and uplifting. “I felt all these emotions because I felt at home and I was so happy to be home,” she shared. “Then, to be so accepted and loved, felt so incredible because things were rocky, and there is nothing better than when you have that moment of making up and knowing this bond is so strong because it is pretty much like blood, and we are family and will always be connected.”
Nikki compared the experience to attending a family reunion or Christmas dinner. “All is well, we’ve all made up, and I recognize that we are very fortunate to be part of, not only such a great company, but to be in a place where we’ve seen this place grow so much,” she said. “It felt so good.”
During RAW, Michael Cole highlighted Nikki’s contributions to WWE’s women’s revolution, cementing her legacy in the company. While Nikki didn’t confirm an in-ring return, her emotional account of being back in WWE has reignited fan speculation, particularly with the Royal Rumble on the horizon.
