Nikki Bella shares her thoughts on John Cena‘s heel turn.
The wrestling world is still in shock following WWE Elimination Chamber, where John Cena turned heel on Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and aligned with The Rock.
Speaking with TK Trinidad for Women’s Wrestling Talk at the “Queen of the Ring” premiere, Nikki and Brie Bella were asked about John Cena’s heel turn. Brie noted that she was happy to see it.
“About time,” Brie said. “I’m actually really happy because this is his farewell year, and I didn’t know if he would give it or not, and so I love it. The way it was done, I mean, chef’s kiss.”
Nikki chimed in by saying that the heel turn was done very well. She also stated that it was a gift for the fans.
“It was done so well,” Nikki said. “I think too, and your farewell tour, and turn into a character that the fans have wanted for so long, it’s not only I think gonna be fun for him, but how great for the fans. It’s like a gift he’s giving, and I think it’s so cool. It was amazing.”
John Cena’s Relationship With Nikki Bella
Cena and Nikki Bella previously started dating in 2012, and they were engaged in 2017. Cena proposed to Bella in the ring after their match at WWE WrestleMania 33. They initially separated in April 2018, and after a brief reconciliation, they parted ways later that year. Cena went on to marry Shay Shariatzadeh in 2020. Nikki got married to Artem Chigvintsev in August 2022, but they settled their divorce in November 2024.
