The domestic violence charges against Nikki Garcia’s estranged husband, Artem Chigvintsev, have been dropped following a “thorough” investigation.
The Napa County District Attorney’s Office announced Tuesday that the “Dancing With The Stars” pro will not be charged after “careful evaluation of the evidence presented” following an alleged incident on Aug. 29.
“While we take every arrest seriously and stand firmly against domestic violence, we have an ethical obligation to only file charges when supported by the evidence,” DA Allison Haley said in a press release.

She continued, “If the available evidence doesn’t rise to this level of proof, then we cannot ethically file charges.”
Reps for Garcia and Chigvintsev weren’t immediately available for comment.

At the time, police witnessed injuries on the victim, who requested “total confidentiality,” which led to the 42-year-old’s arrest.
Although the victim’s identity wasn’t released, the 911 call confirmed the former WWE star was in the home at the time of the incident, along with a child assumed to be their 4-year-old son, Matteo.

According to TMZ, Garcia — professionally known as Nikki Bella — started to look for a divorce lawyer one day later.
On Sept. 11, she pulled the plug on her marriage to Chigvintsev and requested full custody of their son.
