Wolfsburg is in trouble. Facing Augsburg this Saturday, the German club fell at home (1-3) and went an eleventh game in a row without a victory. On the verge of relegation with this 14th place in the Bundesliga, the Wolves are only six points ahead of Mainz. And according to general manager Marcel Schäfer, a discussion will be held with coach Niko Kovač to discuss his situation.

“I think it would not be appropriate at all, ten minutes after the match, to have a public discussion about personnel. We must first give ourselves the opportunity to discuss it internally and take stock”he announced after the defeat, in comments reported by Bild. The future of the former Monaco coach now seems to be written far from the German club.
