It finally happened! Nina Dobrev and Shaun White are finally engaged!
The couple shared the exciting news on Instagram Wednesday with several pictures of the proposal! That includes the moment the snowboarder got down on one knee and shocked Nina — OMG HER FACE! Awww!

And of course, the Vampire Diaries alum showed off her gorgeous ring for everyone to see! She fittingly said alongside her pics:
“RIP boyfriend, hello fiancé”
Meanwhile, Shaun penned a classic caption! He wrote simply:
“She said YES”

According to Vogue on Wednesday, this didn’t just happen. Nina and Shaun actually got engaged at the Golden Swan restaurant in New York City on “a Friday night in late October”. The 38-year-old athlete completely surprised her with the proposal, creating a whole elaborate plan to pull it off. How? He had his publicist send a fake invitation to Nina about an intimate CFDA/Vogue dinner with Anna Wintour at the restaurant. The actress accepted because, we mean, how do you NOT? LOLz! Nina recalled:
“He made the invite look so legitimate.”
When she arrived at the establishment, Anna was nowhere to be seen! Nope! Instead, she found only a photographer and Shaun standing under an arch of white roses. Nina said of the moment:
“I went into shock. I just froze and stared at him.”
Nina doesn’t remember what happened from there, as she totally blacked out! LOLz! What she does recall is Shaun “said all the right things” as he asked her to marry him with a 5-carat diamond ring. Wow! After saying yes, they celebrated the engagement with friends, caviar, and champagne… before enjoying Shake Shack and dumplings at the restaurant. Sounds like the perfect night!
