The Nigerian Postal Service joined the global community to celebrate World Postal Day, marking the 150th anniversary of the Universal Postal Union established in Bern, Switzerland, in 1874.

The General Manager of EMS/Parcel Nigeria, Mahmood Shu’aib, highlighted the significance of the day, saying, “Today, we celebrate the evolution of global communications, which has transformed the way we connect and interact.”

He emphasised the organisation’s commitment to accuracy, volume timelines, and service excellence.

According to NIPOST, this year’s theme, “150 years of enabling communication and empowering people across Nations”, resonates with its mission to facilitate communication and empower individuals through its logistics network.

Shu’aib expressed gratitude to loyal customers, saying, “We appreciate your trust and loyalty over the years, despite challenges. We pledge to continue delivering effective and efficient services to your satisfaction.”

The Postmaster General/Chief Executive Officer of NIPOST, Ms Tola Odeyemi, has championed reforms, particularly in mail processing, to enhance efficiency.

EMS Parcel Nigeria, with its extensive domestic network of over 1,000 offices nationwide, prides itself on core values of speed, reliability, affordability, and timely responsiveness.
