Post-match notes

Following the 8-man tag match, chaos erupted as House of Torture laid a post-match attack on their defeated opponents. SHO left with El Desperado’s IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship. Now, their upcoming singles bout at New Beginning In Sapporo will be contested for the said championship. Should SHO lose the match, he must leave House of Torture and join the Strong Style unit.

Meanwhile, long-time allies and rivals Kazuchika Okada and Hiroshi Tanahashi exchanged a sign of respect after the conclusion of Okada’s final match in Japan. Prior to returning backstage, Okada took a moment to relish in the crowd’s “Thank You” chants and kneel before the NJPW logo printed in the middle of the ring mat.

Likewise, Zack Sabre Jr. shook hands with Bryan Danielson after a hard-fought victory.

Will Ospreay also received a loud ovation from the fans despite a tough loss at the end of the show.
