NNPP Begins Sale Of Forms Ahead Of Ondo Polls

The Ondo State chapter of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) has commenced the sale of Expression of Interest and Nomination forms in preparation for the local government elections scheduled for January 18, 2025.

As announced by the State Publicity Secretary, Oluwafemi Olaleye, these forms will be sold from September 30 to October 18, 2024.

Aspiring candidates are encouraged to obtain their forms to vie for various local government positions.

According to Olaleye’s announcement, the NNPP, in a bid to foster inclusivity, is providing the following:

A 50% discount on nomination forms for women, Persons Living with Disabilities (PWDs), and youths aged 30 and under. A standard fee for the Expression of Interest form.

Olaleye emphasized that the NNPP is committed to empowering a diverse range of candidates to ensure representation from all sectors of society, with a strong emphasis on development, transparency, and accountability.

“The upcoming elections will usher in a new era of governance,” he said.

“NNPP is committed to grassroots democracy and broader participation in the electoral process.”

He further urged aspiring candidates to take advantage of this opportunity to engage in grassroots governance.

He said, “We are excited to open the portal for our candidates. This is a pivotal moment for those who wish to serve their communities and make a meaningful impact in local governance.

“We believe that a truly representative government must include voices from all walks of life.

“This initiative reflects our dedication to inclusivity and the belief that everyone has a role to play in the governance of our communities.

“We understand that financial barriers can deter many qualified individuals from running for of? By offering these rebates, we aim to empower women, persons living with disabilities, and youths under the age of 30 to participate in our democratic process.
