Antony’s valuation has dropped by more than half, less than two years after he joined Manchester United from Ajax for a whopping £86 million.

The Brazilian joined the Reds in September 2022 and has struggled to adapt to the English game since then.

Now, after two underwhelming campaigns, there is talk that he could leave United in the upcoming transfer window.

Despite Antony’s valuation reportedly dropping by more than 50%, Football Insider reports that ‘no clubs in Europe or the Middle East would be willing to pay even half’ of the fee United spent to bring him to Old Trafford.

It is a signing that brings a lot of criticism Erik ten Hag’s way, though the manager has not had a proper recruitment team around him and there is suggestions that one will exist at United in the not too distant future.

Whenever Newcastle decide to take Dan Ashworth off gardening leave. There have been reports that our incoming sporting director has already began listing targets ahead of the transfer window.

The fact no clubs are showing an interest in Antony is telling. He has also lost his place in the team to Alejandro Garnacho.
