That’s it? Retirement is a tricky concept in wrestling as you never know when you are going to see someone hang up their boots for good. While someone might be ready to wrap up their career, there is always the chance that they will continue later on. Everyone has to go away at some point though, and now we might have a better idea of when someone’s career could be wrapping up.

The main event of this weekend’s AEW All In is set to feature Bryan Danielson challenging Swerve Strickland in a title vs. career match. Danielson has mentioned that he will be wrapping up his full time career as a wrestler soon. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, October 12 has been mentioned as a possible date for Danielson’s last match as a full time wrestler. This would be the date of WrestleDream, which will be held in Danielson’s home state of Washington. Danielson has said that he is interested in wrestling part time in the future, though he is also expected to undergo neck surgery soon.

Danielson has been quite good in AEW. Check out his time in the company:

Opinion: While the idea that Danielson has to retire at some point is something that is hard to fathom, it seems to be taking place. Danielson has wrestled a long and successful career but at some point he has to stop, just like everyone else. Despite his neck, it seems that Danielson is getting to retire on his own terms, which is more than a lot of wrestlers have gotten to say over the years.

What do you think of Danielson? Who should he face in his final match? Let us know in the comments below.
