While waiting for the arrival on the bench of Ruben Amorim, during the next international break, Manchester United drew against Chelsea (1-1), for the first time on the bench (in the Premier League) of interim Ruud van Nistelrooy .

The Red Devils, who had made their mark this week against Leicester (5-2) in the League Cup, opened the scoring in the second half with a penalty converted by Bruno Fernandes (70th). The happiness was short-lived at Old Trafford, as the Blues quickly equalized with a great strike from Moises Caicedo, after a poorly pushed corner (74th).

This draw, however, does not help Manchester United, who remain stuck in 13th place in the standings. Chelsea, for their part, missed the opportunity to get on the podium and remained 4th.
