talkSPORT understands both Manchester clubs are tracking the Frenchman and Pearce believes he would be better suited to Pep Guardiola's recent treble winners.
When the former City defender was asked if Olise can make the step up, he replied: "I've watched him a couple of times recently and the answer is yes.
"Not Man United... Man City. I looked at the way he played against Chelsea especially, he got beaten on the night but he was by far the best player on the pitch in my opinion.

"The way he dealt with the ball, his understanding of when to keep the ball, all of those type of things. I could see him in a City shirt."
Olise, now in his third season at Palace, has made 80 appearances for the club and scored 11 goals, assisting a further 20.
He missed much of the start of the current campaign as a result of a hamstring injury but is already sitting on five goals in nine matches.

Olise was heavily linked with the club where he spent much of his youth career but he opted to sign a new four-year deal at Palace.

He has since continued his impressive development despite the club's overall struggles this season as they sit 14th in the Premier League.
A move to City would see him return to one of his youth sides and almost guarantee the chance to win trophies.
United on the other hand are a club who have fluctuated on the pitch and lacked silverware as of late, although the transfer window has time and time again proven unpredictable.
