IMG Credit: NetflixOut of their hands. WWE was rocked earlier this year by a lawsuit against Vince McMahon, accusing the now former owner of the company of a variety of sexual abuse. McMahon has since departed the company and it would be hard to imagine him ever returning in any way. This wraps up a huge part of McMahon’s career, but now we are going to be getting another look at it, albeit without a certain influence.

Earlier this week, Netflix announced that its documentary series on McMahon will be premiering next month. According to both Wrestlenomics and Post Wrestling by way of Cagesideseats.com, WWE does not have a production credit on the series. While they did at one point, the credit was dropped before both of McMahon’s resignations. This would suggest that WWE will not have any influence on how McMahon is presented in the series.

Opinion: Well this certainly makes things more interesting, as there was always a chance that WWE would make sure that anything major about McMahon was avoided. A truly independent documentary about McMahon’s life and career could be fascinating and while it is hard to believe that is what we will be getting, this is a major setback removed. It makes me more interested in seeing the series and that is a great sign.
