He’s still on the way. Bringing an established wrestler into the fold of a new promotion can be quite the difficult task as everything has to be put together in the right way. Occasionally the debut will be a complete surprise but there are other instances where the debut is all but announced in advance. That is what we are going t be seeing soon with a former WWE Champion and now we know a bit more.

Former WWE Champion Bobby Lashley has been rumored to on his way to AEW, where he is expected to be aligned with former Hurt Business teammates MVP and Shelton Benjamin. According to Fightful Select, AEW was considering having Lashley debut over the weekend at WrestleDream but opted against it. The debut would have likely seen Lashley attacking Swerve Strickland, the home crowd favorite, and AEW did not want Strickland and Bryan Danielson, also from the area, to be taken out on the same show. Lashley is still expected to debut with the promotion soon.

You’ll get used to him. Check out what is likely coming to AEW:

Opinion: The logic here makes sense and it isn’t like AEW had advertised Lashley in advance of the show. Having Lashley debut in a moment of his own will make that much more of an impact and that should be a better way to go. Lashley could be a great addition to the promotion and thankfully it seems like they understand what they could have on their hands with him.

What do you think of Lashley? How would you debut him in AEW? Let us know in the comments below.
