He’s not in? The rise of AEW has opened up a bunch of possibilities for wrestlers who have never gotten this kind of a chance before. Several wrestlers are either getting their first chance or maybe another shot after having it not go so well in another big promotion. That is what we it seemed we would be seeing again but in this case that is actually not appearing to take place.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: He’s In: Former WWE World Champion Announced For Professional Wrestling Hall Of Fame

Last week, Matt Cardona lost to Ring Of Honor World Champion Chris Jericho at Final Battle. This has led to speculation about whether or not Cardona had signed a deal with Ring Of Honor or AEW. According to Sean Ross Sapp in a Fightful Select Q&A podcast by way of Cagesideseats.com, Cardona has been telling people that he has not signed with AEW and will not be doing so at the moment. It is not clear if Cardona was offered a contract with the company.

Cardona has done well in these parts. Check out what he has done in the promotions:

Opinion: This is where things can get interesting, as Cardona popping in every so often can make things all the more interesting. At the end of the day, he doesn’t need to sign with AEW or Ring Of Honor if he doesn’t want to and that might be the case here. He might just want to stick around the independent circuit and have the freedom that comes with it, as that system has certainly worked well for him so far.

What do you think of Cardona’s time in the promotions? Where would he fit in best? Let us know in the comments below.
