Nottingham Forest are in advanced talks with Borussia Dortmund over a loan move for midfielder Gio Reyna, talkSPORT understands.
USA international Reyna recently became a client of super agent Jorge Mendes, who also has Forest manager Nuno Espirito Santo on his roster.

Forest could face a points deduction - much like Everton - after being alleged to have breached Premier League Profitability and Sustainability Rules.
While many clubs have reined in their transfer spending this month, Forest could be set to bring in Reyna to bolster their squad.
They are currently in a relegation battle, sitting 16th in the table and four points from the bottom three.
But a points deduction could plunge them into serious trouble while Steve Cooper has already been sacked with Nuno Espirito Santo brought in.
A deal for Reyna will initially see the United States international move to the City Ground on loan.
Reyna recently switched agents to super-agent Mendes, who has close ties to several Premier League clubs, including Forest.
Mendes helped facilitate the deal that saw Nuno become the club's manager.

However, he still managed seven goals in 22 Bundesliga appearances last season.
But the 21-year-old has been largely left on the sidelines this season with first-team minutes in short supply.
In total, Reyna has played just 13 times this campaign and has yet to complete a full 90 minutes.
Aston Villa and Sevilla had also been linked with the American, who was born in Sunderland and is the son of former Premier League player Claudio Reyna.
Several players have been linked with departures at Forest, including Morgan Gibbs-White and Orel Mangala.
