NPP unveils activities to mark Dr Bawumia’s birthday

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has announced a number of activities to commemorate the birthday of their flagbearer, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, which falls on October 7, this year.

The activities will kick-start with a nationwide mosque prayers with all regional and constituency executives as well as parliamenta­ry candidates requested to super­vise to ensure full coordination for a successful event.

This would be followed with a visitation to Seventh Day Ad­ventist (SDA) churches and other churches that worship on Satur­day while on Sunday, October 6, a national Sunday service will be held to seek divine blessings for Dr Bawumia, which all NPP members are expected to attend.

“To ensure the smooth execu­tion of religious activities at every level of the party’s organisational structure, we entreat all region­al and constituency executive committees and parliamentary candidates to work together with the support of all volunteer and identifiable groups in their respective regions and constitu­encies,” the statement signed by National Organiser, Henry Nana Boakye, read in parts.

A nationwide campaign and canvassing exercise; will take place with NPP members re­quested to engage in a nationwide campaign to highlight achieve­ments and the 2024 manifesto.

The event would include road­side campaigns, market-to-market and placards campaign, wearing party paraphernalia with the campaign taken to lorry and taxi stations, school campuses, and shopping malls and into the ghettos.

“To ensure the success of these events, we urge all region­al and constituency executives and parliamentary candidates to collaborate closely with volunteer and identifiable groups in their respective regions and constituen­cies,” the statement added
