Portuguese full-back Nuno Tavares could return to OM this winter.

OM could well welcome one of its former men at this end of the transfer window. According to rumors emanating from Italy, a former lieutenant of Igor Tudor is likely to arrive at the Commandery in the coming days. It is obviously Nuno Tavares.

Nuno Tavares ready for a second stint at OM?

If we trust what SportItalia reports, there would be a strong desire from Pablo Longoria to get his hands on the Lusitanian international. The latter still belongs to Arsenal, but Mikel Arteta does not count on him. At the start of the season he was loaned out to Nottinham Forest, where he made only five appearances.

Nuno Tavares only spent one time in Marseille (2022/2023) and he left some pretty good memories for the Vélodrome faithful. He played 39 matches, including 30 as a starter, and he provided 6 assists.

The interest in Nuno Tavares can be explained in particular by the inability of the Olympian management to complete these various files for the left-back position. The Czech David Jurasek (Benfica) and the Rennais Adrien Truffert were coveted, but without result. According to RMC Sport, the latter’s track would have even been definitively abandoned.
