NWA star Max The Impaler is set to be in a new horror movie.
Naman Ramachandran of Variety reports that “Dolly”, a horror movie from Rod Blackhurst, has wrapped production. The cast includes NWA TV Champion Max The Impaler as Dolly, as well as Seann William Scott, Fabianne Therese, Ethan Suplee, Russ Tiller, and Michalina Scorzelli.
Per Ramachandran, the film centers around “Macy, a young woman abducted by a deranged, monster-like figure who wants to raise her as their child.”
Max commented on the news in a tweet.
Blackhurst commented on the film, per Ramachandran, by saying the following:
“We made ‘Dolly’ as an elegant and twisted fairytale born out of a deep love of genre films and wanting to see something insane that 13-year-old Rod would want to watch. This film is a renewed investment in our ethos as filmmakers and our proud tribe of misfits. And candidly, I really want to make my films ‘The White Room’ and ‘Die By Night’ and hope this will help that cause, so Hollywood, please call a fella.”
Blackhurst previously directed and produced the “Amanda Knox” documentary on Netflix.
