Another title match is set for WWE NXT Heatwave.
Former NXT North American Champion Wes Lee has had his sights set on regaining the gold since he returned to NXT. Reigning champion Oba Femi beat Lee and Joe Coffey to retain the title at NXT Battleground. Femi subsequently agreed to give Lee a shot at the title in a singles match.
On the June 25 episode of WWE NXT, Wes Lee defeated Joe Coffey. Femi interrupted his post-match celebration and told him that he would get his title at at WWE NXT Heatwave.
Les previously missed several months due to a back injury. He made his return on the April 30 episode of WWE NXT and confronted Femi.
