Kogi State Governor, Usman Ododo, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to sustaining ongoing clearance operations to defeat criminals in all parts of the state.
He made this assurance during the commencement of the distribution of the second batch of 100 operational vehicles to security agencies at the Government House in Lokoja.
“This administration will continue to deepen its fight against insecurity and criminality in the state,” he stated.
He emphasised his administration’s dedication to improving the security architecture of the state, which has resulted in the distribution of hundreds of operational vehicles to enhance the capacity and operational efficiency of security agencies against criminal elements.
“We will strive to make Kogi State unbearable and unsafe for criminals to operate,” he declared.
The State Security Adviser, Commander Jerry Omodara (retd.), noted that the distribution of vehicles to security agencies aims to provide support in the ongoing clearance operations across the state.
He stressed that this gesture aligned with the determination of the state government to ensure the security of lives and property in every part of the state.
The Commissioner of Police, Bethrand Onuoha, expressed gratitude to the governor for his commitment to the security of the lives and property of the people.
He promised that the vehicles would be used in the onslaught against criminals in the state.
At a press briefing earlier, the Commissioner for Information and Communications, Kingsley Fanwo, stated that the government resolved to take drastic measures against criminal elements to preserve law and order and guarantee the security of the people. He assured that nothing would be spared to protect the lives and property of the people of Kogi State.
