Odu’a Investment Company Limited has celebrated the firm’s former Chairman, Segun Aina, and the former Group Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Adewale Raji, for their leadership.

They were honoured at a farewell party themed: ‘Celebrating Years of Legacy… A Journey of Transformation and Growth’, in Lagos recently.

According to a release from the firm on Monday, Aina emphasised the importance of being focused and result-oriented when tasked with building an investment institution.

He urged young people to be visionary, aspirational, and determined, noting that dreaming big is the first step toward achieving great things.

“I am proud of the transformation achieved during my tenure, which was made possible by divine enablement and the support of the board and management. With a successor like Mr. Bimbo Ashiru, I am confident the institution is on a path to even greater heights,” Aina said.

He also reflected on the institution’s ‘A+ rating’ recorded at the end of his tenure, stating that the achievements laid the foundation for OICL to compete globally.

In his remarks, Raji expressed gratitude for the opportunity to lead OICL over the past 10 years, attributing his success to God’s grace and the goodwill of those who supported him.

He said, “Competence, commitment, sacrifice, and integrity are key qualities of a leader, and I am honoured to have contributed to OICL’s growth. I remain ready to contribute to the nation’s success in the future.”

Also, the current Chairman of OICL, Bimbo Ashiru, praised Aina and Raji for their leadership and dedication to the institution’s success, describing them as forthright and visionary leaders.

Dignitaries in attendance, including the Secretary to the Ogun State Government, Tokunbo Talabi, and former Ogun State governor, Segun Osoba, commended both Aina and Raji for their work and wished them well in their future endeavours.
