Odyssey Jones‘ alliance with the New Day was solidified on the August 12 episode of WWE RAW.
Jones made his RAW debut on the August 5 episode, where he helped the New Day defeat the Authors of Pain.
On the August 12 episode, Odyssey Jones was set to face his in-ring debut. Ahead of the bout, he was shown bonding with Kofi Kingston backstage. Xavier Woods walked in on them, and he didn’t seem thrilled.
Jones went on to score a dominant win against enhancement talent Vincent Winey. Kingston and Woods celebrated with Jones after the bell, but Karrion Kross and the Final Testament crashed the party.
Kross wondered whether this was “another day” for the New Day. He then said that, at first glance, it was clear that Kingston was using Odyssey Jones to replace Big E, who has been sidelined due to injury since 2022. He then said that, in actuality, Kingston was using Jones to replace Woods, and he knew it.
Woods fired back, saying that Kross’ attempts to drive a wedge between them wouldn’t work. He was about to challenge Final Testament to a tag team match. But Kingston interrupted and issued the challenge for a six-man tag team match where he, Woods, and Odyssey Jones would face the Final Testament. Kross then accepted the challenge for the August 12 episode of WWE RAW.
Odyssey Jones was previously drafted to WWE RAW in both 2023 and 2024, but August 12 marked his in-ring debut on the show.
