With less than two hours left before Barcelona lock horns with Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu, the Catalans’ manager Xavi Hernandez has announced the starting lineup for the game.

In what is a must-win match for Barcelona in order to stay alive in the La Liga title race, Xavi has opted not to make many/any changes to the team that started against PSG in the UEFA Champions League earlier this week.

Marc-Andre ter Stegen guards the goal as usual and will be hoping for a seventh consecutive clean sheet in La Liga.

Ronald Araujo, coming on the back of his sending-off against PSG, will be aiming for redemption tonight as he partners Pau Cubarsi at the heart of the defence for Barcelona.

Jules Kounde and Joao Cancelo are the two full-backs.

Meanwhile, Andreas Christensen is back into the starting XI after missing the PSG game through suspension. The Dane operates as the pivot midfielder with Pedri making way for him.

Frenkie de Jong and Ilkay Gundogan complete the three-man midfield unit for the visitors.

Up top, Robert Lewandowski spearheads the Barcelona attack and will have support from teenage whizkid Lamine Yamal and in-form star Raphinha from the flanks.
