After his absence from Friday’s training session, FC Barcelona have officially confirmed that Hector Fort has been sidelined with a hamstring injury and will miss tonight’s game against Atletico Madrid.
“H. Fort has a strain on his left hamstring and is out for today’s match,” the statement from the club read.
Fort, 18, has found minutes hard to come by this season under Hansi Flick, with Jules Kounde being the established starter at right-back.
But the La Masia gem is regarded very highly at the club and is seen as one for the future, and as such has been a regular in the first-team squad.

However, he is not on the list for tonight’s clash against Atletico Madrid as a result of the hamstring problem that is bothering him.
The issue does not appear to be a serious one as the statement from the club mentions that he will only be unavailable for tonight’s game.
It must be noted that the match against Atletico Madrid will be Barcelona’s last one of 2024 as the team will enjoy a small mid-season break from tomorrow.
The Blaugrana will be back in action on January 4 in the Copa del Rey against UD Barbastro and Fort could be ready in time for that.
