Following their 4-4 draw against Atletico Madrid on Tuesday, FC Barcelona have now confirmed that Danish defender Andreas Christensen has received the medical clearance ahead of Sunday’s La Liga encounter against Real Sociedad.
Christensen has been out injured since late January, getting sidelined with a soleus muscle issue.
The injury happened shortly after he had made his return from an extended period out on the sidelines after undergoing surgery to address an Achilles tendon issue.

Christensen has been back in training since last week but was not called up for the La Liga clash against Las Palmas and was again left out against Atletico Madrid last night.
Now, though, the former Chelsea ace has received the official green light from the medical department, which would likely see him return to the squad against Real Sociedad on Sunday.
Hansi Flick already has a plethora of defensive options at his disposal with Pau Cubarsi, Inigo Martinez, Ronald Araujo, and Eric Garcia. With Christensen’s return, competition for places will further increase.
