Official: Barcelona squad list to face RCD Mallorca

As Barcelona get set to take on RCD Mallorca in a few hours at Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys, manager Xavi Hernandez has announced the squad list of players that he will have at his disposal.

Given the number of injuries, the first-team boss has dipped into the academy and reserve ranks and called up a number of young talents.

Defender Mikayil Faye receives his first-ever call-up for an official match with the senior team while fellow teenager Unai Hernandez also makes the squad to add bench strength in midfield where Pedri, Gavi, and Frenkie de Jong are missing.

Marc Casado, Marc Guiu, Hector Fort, Pau Cubarsi, and Diego Kochen all make the squad list as well.

Ronald Araujo misses out as he is suspended for an accumulation of cards while Marcos Alonso has not been included even though he resumed team training this week.

Ferran Torres is an injury-enforced absentee along with Pedri, Gavi, De Jong, and Alejandro Balde.

Rotations are expected from the manager keeping in mind the upcoming UCL clash against Napoli next Tuesday.
