As Barcelona get set to take on Valencia in the Copa del Rey quarterfinal later tonight at Mestalla, manager Hansi Flick has announced the squad list for the contest.
The major headline is that Dani Olmo is back in the squad after being out for three weeks due to a muscle injury.
The Spaniard will not start tonight against Los Che, with Flick confirming as much in his press conference on Wednesday. But Olmo’s return is a boost for Barcelona.
Meanwhile, Gavi misses out due to the medical protocols following his head injury against Alaves over the weekend.
On top of that, out-of-favour forward Ansu Fati has been omitted from the squad by the manager now that Olmo is back from his injury.
Andreas Christensen, Marc Bernal, and Marc-Andre ter Stegen are unavailable through injury.
Rotations are likely to be made by Flick for tonight’s match, with there being a good chance that players like Ferran Torres and Eric Garcia feature from the start, which would mean rest for Robert Lewandowski and Ronald Araujo.
