The club have released a new Newcastle United training gallery of photos.

The images released, showing Newcastle United players training ahead of Saturday’s match.

A bit of insight…potentially, into who may and may not be available for this game, as Newcastle United take on Burnley at Turf Moor.

Burnley fighting a desperate relegation battle, whilst Newcastle United aiming for top six.

The photos published by Newcastle United featuring Wednesday’s training and the following 18 first team squad players involved from what we could see:

Miguel Almiron, Harvey Barnes, Dan Burn, Martin Dubravka, Paul Dummett, Anthony Gordon, Bruno Guimaraes, Lewis Hall, Alexander Isak, Loris Karius, Emil Krafth, Tino Livramento, Sean Longstaff, Alex Murphy, Jacob Murphy, Matt Ritchie, Joe White, Callum Wilson

Those not seen…

Fabian Schar, Elliot Anderson, Nick Pope, Joelinton, Kieran Trippier, Joe Willock, Lewis Miley, Jamaal Lascelles, Sven Botman and Matt Targett.

No surprise at the absence of most of those players.

However, of those who played on Saturday against Sheffield United, no sign in these Newcastle United training images of Fabian Schar and Elliot Anderson. Schar forced off at half-time and though Eddie Howe said he didn’t think it was anything serious, it remains to be seen whether the Swiss defender will make it on Saturday. Anderson was one of two subs made once Newcastle went 4-1 up against the Blades, so hopefully no reason to worry why he couldn’t be spotted in the Newcastle United training images.

Great to see Miguel Almiron back though. He features heavily in this training gallery, so looking like he could well be the next long-term injury to return, for this Burnley matchday squad.

Eddie Howe has talked of hoping to also have Trippier, Pope and Joelinton back playing this season, as well as Almiron.

Hopefully this will prove the case, though looking more likely to be for those final three games in the final nine days of the season.

Trippier is out in Dubai at the moment, working with a personal trainer and physio. Media reports this past week saying he is targeting the Brighton match on 11 May for his return.

Always difficult to know for sure with the Newcastle United training images, with regard to those who are unseen, as players can be innocently missed out of the set of published photos and/or Eddie Howe wants to keep the opposition guessing…
