Official Newcastle United injury update – Availability for the Manchester City match (and beyond):
Jamaal Lascelles – Continues his long-term recovery.
Sven Botman – The same as Lascelles.
Lewis Miley – Still recovering from his back injury.
Callum Wilson – Still on way back from his back and hamstring injuries.
Matt Targett – Another one definitely missing, apparently due to an ‘Eczema flare-up’. We certainly seem to find all kinds of inventive ways to have players missing!
Alexander Isak – The big worry. Eddie Howe saying the striker hasn’t trained this week so far. Revealing that Isak actually broke his toe and that after he played at Fulham last weekend, it aggravated the injury and the toe stiffened up.
