Official Newcastle United injury update – Availability for the AFC Wimbedon match (and beyond):

Jamaal Lascelles – Continues his long-term recovery.

Sven Botman – The same as Lascelles.

Lewis Miley – Still recovering from his back injury.

Callum Wilson – Still continuing his recovery, Eddie Howe having previously said he hopes to have Wilson back in full training during the October international fortnight.

Matt Targett – On Friday, Eddie Howe indicated he wouldn’t be available for the Man City match due to an ‘Eczema flare-up’ that had meant he couldn’t train for a number of days. It appears he will be back available for this AFC Wimbledon match and could even get a rare start.

Alexander Isak – Eddie Howe confirming on Monday morning that the striker won’t be involved on Tuesday night.

Sandro Tonali – The Head Coach confirming the Italian came off on Saturday with cramp, Howe saying a decision will be made on his availability later today.

Kieran Trippier – Another who appeared to come off the pitch due to cramp, the NUFC boss saying this morning that Tripper ‘Felt okay yesterday (Sunday) but we are not sure if he will be ready for tomorrow.

So I make that to be five Newcastle United players definitely missing against AFC Wimbledon, with another two having question marks – Tonali and Trippier.

Though hopefully these latter two should be ok, with in my opinion, Eddie Howe set to have them on the bench against AFC Wimbledon.
