An official Newcastle United injury update on Friday morning.
Eddie Howe talking to journalists.
The NUFC Head Coach speaking following the defeat at Old Trafford.
Plus of course, Eddie Howe hoping to now end the season with a win at Brentford that would guarantee top seven as a minimum.
Eddie Howe on Callum Wilson:
“We anticipate he will be fit for Sunday.”
Eddie Howe on Anthony Gordon:
“We will wait and see how he is today.
“I’m not 100% sure as I sit here now exactly how he is.
“Certainly that tackle [by Amrabat at Old Trafford left a mark on him.”
The Head Coach also confirming that Tino Livramento is ruled out with an ankle injury.
So that looks like it means one out (Tino), one back (Wilson) and one doubt (Gordon). However, I can’t see Anthony Gordon not playing on Sunday, as I’m sure both Eddie Howe and the player himself will be desperate for Anthony Gordon to play in the final match of the season.
Definitely missing for Newcastle United then on Sunday – Sandro Tonali, Tino Livramento, Lewis Miley, Jamaal Lascelles, Sven Botman, Matt Targett and Joe Willock.
Newcastle United upcoming matches:
