We now know when the Newcastle v Brentford Carabao Cup quarter-final will be played.
An official club announcement (see below) on Wednesday afternoon revealing the news.
For a place in the semi-finals, Newcastle v Brentford will be played on Wednesday 18 December with a 7.45pm kick-off.
The tie will be shown live on Sky Sports+.

‘A date has been set for Newcastle United’s Carabao Cup quarter-final against Brentford.
The Magpies beat Chelsea 2-0 to book their place in the last eight of the competition for the third year in a row, having earlier seen off Nottingham Forest and AFC Wimbledon in the second and third rounds respectively.
They will now face the Bees at St. James’ Park for a place in the two-legged semi-final, with that game now confirmed for 7:45pm GMT on Wednesday, 18th December.
The tie will also be broadcast live on Sky Sports+.
Any further details concerning the game, including ticket information, will be confirmed in due course.’
