It was in the air, it is now official. Neymar is back to Santos. The 32-year-old had terminated his contract with Al-Hilal to find his training club. In a video published on X, Santos confirmed the return of his star with the hashtag #TheprinceBack and a video in which the Brazilian explains his return.
“I came to Santos when I was a child, full of dreams. Vila Belmiro welcomed me, that's where I grew up and was happy. Santos made me discover the world, but my heart has never stopped being black and white. I remember each experience with you here, every moment ”he says.
He will wear the 10th
Neymar will wear number 10, like Pelé before him. “It will be an honor to wear the 10th, the sacred jersey which represents so much for Santos and for the world. I promise to do everything in my power to continue to honor your heritage, “king”. I said, “I would leave, but I will come back”. Do you remember it? The prince is back ”he continues.
Almost twelve years later, the one who made the heyday of Santos between 2009 and 2013 with 134 goals in 220 matches made his comeback. Neymar could however only stay in Brazil for a few months. According to different media, the former Parisian should only engage six months with Santos, with the desire to return to Europe next summer.
