The Member of Parliament for Offinso North Constituency in the Ashanti Region, Mr Augustine Collins Ntim, has been honoured for his impeccable record of helping to accelerate the pace of development of the constituency.
The honour, a citation, presented by the Roman Catholic Church of Nkenkaasu, the second largest town after Akomadan, the Offinso North District capital, praised him for his unrelenting efforts and determination to serve his people.
In the citation, the church held the view that Mr Ntim’s immense and diverse “contributions have made a significant impact on the people and this honour is a fitting tribute to your hardwork.”
“This recognition,” it maintained, “is a testament to your tireless efforts, dedication and commitment to serving your community.”
“May this achievement inspire you to continue making a positive difference in the lives of others. We are extremely proud of you,” it added.
Receiving the citation, Mr Ntim, a former Deputy Minister of Local Government, Rural Development and Decentralisation, described it as a “pleasant surprise” which would encourage him to continue to give off his best to the constituency.
The MP indicated that his commitment to the education and advancement of the youth, in particular, propelled him to work diligently towards the construction of four more educational establishments comprising three senior high schools and a vocational and technical training school in the district.
He urged the people to vote massively for the Bawumia-led New Patriotic Party (NPP) to enable the party to continue with its development agenda for the country.
The Most Reverend Gabriel Anokye, the Archbishop of the Roman Catholic Church, Ashanti, who presented the citation, asked Mr Ntim to endeavour to seek the interest and welfare of his people at all times.
